The Formalities
Must I be a UK resident / citizen to play?
No, you don't need to physically be in the UK or Europe to play.
Lottery24.com acts as an online service company. We'll buy your tickets
in the UK for you. This is why the syndicate manager needs to be paid 1%
of any winnings – he's the one doing all the running around.
Is it legal to sell tickets for the UK National Lottery, Thunderball,
Lotto Hotpicks and EuroMillions online?
The UK's Lotteries Act (1993) states that a lottery ticket may only be
purchased in the UK. Lottery24 does comply with this provision. We
contractually agree with you (via our terms and conditions) that we will
pay out 95% of the winnings on any ticket, 5% of the winnings being
retained. No resale or transfer of the ticket (purchased in the UK) to
the Player takes place, as this would be in contravention of the
legislation.
How old must I be to play and win in international lotteries at
Lottery24.com?
You must be 18 years old, or over.
How long before the draws do ticket sales close?
We'll accept your entries 'til 3pm GMT. That gives us enough time to ensure
that all your tickets are bought before the official lottery closing time.
Any entries after 3pm will automatically be entered into the following
draw.
Why do you own 5% of each ticket?
We are required by law to own a percentage of each ticket we buy. When we pay
out winning tickets, we keep 4% as a service charge and 1% is paid to the
syndicate manager who purchases, safeguards and cashes in your tickets in the
UK.
Why does my scanned ticket show a lower cost than what I paid at Lottery24?
The cost per line of numbers in the UK is £1
for UK Lotto, Thunderball and Hotpicks - and £2.00 for EuroMillions.
This will be the amount reflected on your tickets.
The price per line of numbers at Lottery24 is
£3 for UK Lotto, Thunderball and Hotpicks - and £4.00 for EuroMillions.
The difference between the cost in the UK and the price on our site covers
the admin and service fees required to make playing from home a reality.
What is your policy on refunds and cancellations?
Once you have purchased your tickets our services begin immediately and so,
unfortunately, we're not able to offer any refunds on purchased tickets.
Please double check your numbers before completing your purchase to avoid
any mishaps.

How can I be sure that my tickets are actually purchased
and entered into the draw I've paid for?
This is a question that most other online lottery companies can't answer! We
give you visible proof of your ticket purchase by sending you scanned copies

service that connot provide you with tangible proof that you've been entered
into the draws you've paid for.

Can I play without a credit card?
At the moment, we can only accept your Visa / Mastercard. Alternative
payment mechanisms will become available in the near future.

How much will my tickets cost in my local currency?
You're charged according to the current exchange rate at the time of your

depends on the tax regulations of the country you are in. In the case of
the UK Lottery, winnings are not taxed, and you will receive the cash in

regulations, you may be required to declare the windfall though. The
onus will be on you to discuss this with your relevant tax
authorities.
