EuroMillions Rollovers
Because you need 5 numbers and 2 lucky stars to win the jackpot, the top prize can often go unwon for a few draws in a
row. Which means the jackpot amount is carried over to the next draw for an even bigger top tier prize! With so much up
for grabs, you can't afford not to buy as many tickets as possible when rollover time comes around.

Impact Of Exchange Rates On UK Prizes
EuroMillions is a separate game in each country, and uses a shared prize pool and draw results. So each number
selection sold contributes €1 to the central prize fund. In countries where the Euro is the sovereign currency, each entry is
sold at €2. In the UK, entries are sold in Pounds Sterling at a price that approximates to €2. Any difference between the
Sterling price and €2 leads to an adjustment in the prizes that Camelot distributes to its winners in prize tiers 2 to 12.

Euro Calculation Of Prize Values
The total prize fund across all participating lotteries is allocated between the tiers:

UK Calculation Of Sterling Prize Values
Camelot (UK) prices its tickets in Sterling and allocates 50% of the sale price to the prize fund. And contributes €1 to the
Euro prize fund for each board sold. The exchange rate means there is a difference between these two values in other
words, a prize fund variation.
So Camelot adjusts the prize values for its winners on tiers 2 - 12. The prize fund variation is allocated to each of those
tiers in proportion to the total UK value of the tier. The UK prize share is then calculated by dividing the new tier value,
including the prize fund variation allocation, by the number of UK winners. But the jackpot is not altered: a UK winner will
still receive the same jackpot as a winner in any other country, translated into Sterling.
All UK prizes are paid in Sterling, rounded down to the nearest 10p.
For example, if Camelot sells a ticket at £1.50, it contributes £0.75 to the prize fund. If the exchange rate is
£0.70 : €1,
then the contribution to the central fund is £0.70. The additional £0.05 in Camelot's prize fund is paid out to UK winners in
prize tiers 2 to 12.
