About Mega Sena
Mega Sena is the biggest and most popular lottery game in Brazil. It is operated since 1996 by Caixa Econômica Federal Bank, an institution which has been running federal lottery games since a long time.
This lottery allows players to win fantastic amounts of money, and in the meantime raises funds to help social programs all over the country, especially the ones related to educational services. The fact of knowing that by playing the lottery one is also helping welfare programs that provide assistance to a group of disadvantaged people makes this lottery even more interesting to play.
Mega Sena draws are held on Wednesday and Saturday.
An unusual way of drawing the winning numbers
To play the Mega Sena all you have to do is to pick 6 numbers from a range of 60. The numbers are drawn in a special way, different from other lotteries, because two digits are drawn separately to get each winning number.
The first drawn digit will be any number from 0 to 5.
The second drawn digit will be any number from 0 to 9.
If 00 is drawn, it will be considered as 60.
Therefore, this way six unique two-digit numbers are being generated.
