EUROMILLIONS WINNER UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR ILLEGAL BACKYARD CABIN

A London EuroMillions winner who scooped more than £1.1 million on the popular lottery game is revealed to be under investigation by his local council for allegedly renting out accommodation in his backyard.George Traykov, a former Bulgarian skydiver who has lived in the UK for 20 years, first won £1 million on the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle in 2011, and then, two years later, beat odds of 438 million to one to win again. The second time around, he won over £160,000 on the same lottery game and at the time he claimed he had been unlucky because he had missed out on a £12 million jackpot by just one number. Now, however, perhaps the property developer has lost some of his luck as it has been revealed that Hounslow Council are currently investigating him over an outhouse in his back garden which is alleged to feature a kitchen and central heating along with sleeping accommodation. Councils across the UK have been cracking down on illegal “backyard cabins”, which are often rented out to illegal immigrants for up to £200 per week.Council officers have now obtained a demolition order on the single-storey property owned by the EuroMillions lottery winner, despite the fact that Mr Traykov denied acting illegally. The two time lottery winner insists that the structure at the back of the garden in Feltham has only been used for “storage and parties” and no more. The EuroMillions lottery winner’s property was one of four in the area that were raided by the council, and two suspected illegal immigrants were found at one of the other homes. Mr Traykov was, in 2013, ordered to stop using a shed as accommodation at another of his properties in Harrow, but he told the local press that he is not doing so this time.“The outbuilding has been there since I bought it,” said the EuroMillions lottery winner. “This is not a living area where people live and sleep. I had parties there, I had gatherings there, and it is a playroom.” Some of the lucky lottery player’s relatives are currently living in the main house rent free while renovations are completed. The next estimated jackpot in the EuroMillons draw which will take place on Friday 23rd is £11m.
