A woman from Renfrew in the Ottawa Valley, just outside the Canadian capital, has won $250,000 on an Instant Mega 7S lottery ticket and can now live mortgage free.Another Ottawa Valley winner was Mark Virgin, from White Lake, who won $1 million on the Lotto 649, and now Tracey Stroud told Lottery officials that she’s been playing lottery games every now and then for several years, but this was the first time she bought an Instant Mega 7S ticket. “I mainly enjoy Lotto 649, Lotto Max, Daily Grind, and Instant tickets,” the Renfrew woman told the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission when she claimed her prize in Toronto. “I’d never seen the Instant Mega 7S ticket before, so I figured I would try it. I am really happy I did because it brought me to this moment!”Debbie Chambers from Windsor in Ontario also won $250,000 on an Instant lottery game, and a couple from Toronto took home $150,000 on a scratch off thanks to a change in their ticket purchasing routine.Mrs Stroud said that she checked her instant lottery ticket online, and she couldn’t believe it when she saw it was a winner. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was shaking and beyond excited!” The lottery player took her instant ticket into her local store the next day to get it validated, and she said that it was at that moment that her $250,000 win started to feel real. “I was beginning to process that I actually won!” Another recent Canadian winner was Eddy Mushibuka from Ottawa who took home $12.5 million on the Lotto Max.Now that the $250,000 Instant Mega 7S winnings are in her bank account, Mrs Stroud said that she’s excited to be able to pay off her mortgage. “This allows me to be debt free – which is a wonderful feeling,” the lottery winner said, adding that she also plans to take a trip to Britain and Ireland.
