$1.7 billion Powerball Jackpot in Saturday’s Draw

After another rollover on Wednesday, there will be a $1.7 billion jackpot in Saturday’s Powerball draw. Could it be a ticket purchased from Lottery24 that wins this massive prize?

The numbers drawn on Wednesday were: 03-16-29-61-69 and the Powerball 22. There were some near-misses on Wednesday with 11 tickets matching all the main balls. None could match the Powerball but their tickets all made them lottery millionaires.

Saturday’s jackpot will be the third largest in the history of the Powerball draw. It will be the largest since October 2023 when a ticket sold in California won a $1,756 billion jackpot.

Four wins

2025 has seen the Powerball jackpot won on four occasions. That's three times fewer than at this point of the year in 2024.

The last Powerball jackpot win was on May 31. A ticket sold in California won $204.5 million. It was in March that this year’s largest win took place. That was  another success for California with $526.5 million won on the Powerball.  Will that state win again?

We still have a little way for the record Powerball jackpot to be reached. That was  the $2.04 billion won on the Powerball by Edwin Castro  (again in California)) in November 2022.

September has not been the luckiest month in which to play the Powerball draw. The last time the jackpot was won in this month was back in 2020. That followed two September jackpot wins in the previous year.

What selection to make?

What numbers could make you a billionaire?  Single digit numbers have made an appearance in each of the last four draws but never more than one.

Five of the last six draws have seen a number between 10 and 19 drawn out. Those between 20 and 29 have been seen in each of the last four draws.

Not so common are those in the 50-59 range, being seen just one in the last five draws. As for the Powerball, a single-digit one has only appeared in one of the last six draws.
