MISSING TEN COSTS ADAM THE £92M EUROMILLIONS JACKPOT

The largest EuroMillions jackpot of the year is up for grabs on November 20. After ten draws without a jackpot winner including a EuroMillions Superdraw it’s up to £113m (€162 million). It’s the largest EuroMillions jackpot since a Portuguese ticket won €190m (£149.7m) last October.

The jackpot has continued to grow and has rolled over four times since the EuroMillions Superdraw a fortnight ago. The jackpot now stands at £113m but Adam Wilson from Prestwick in Manchester, England came so close to winning last Friday.

Wilson was eager to get his hands on the EuroMillions jackpot and the 27-year-old purchased three lines for the Friday the 13th draw hoping to win that evening’s £92m jackpot. He checked his ticket in the early hours of Saturday morning and couldn’t believe how close he’d been to landing the jackpot.

One of his lines had four of the main numbers and both the lucky stars but rather than winning £92m, he won just £2,228.90. Speaking about his near miss he said, “I’ve never been so gutted to win £2,000. I thought I’d been in for a nice bit of winnings. There’s a big difference between £2,000 and £92million for just one number.”

The winning numbers in the EuroMillions draw were: 10-17-18-33-40 and the two Lucky Stars 02-08. The only number he was missing was 10 and that just happened to be on both of his other lines. Wilson added, “It will take a long time to get over but I’m grateful for what I did win. It was just one of those things. There’s always tomorrow.”

Having more luck on Friday 13th was the $200m Mega Millions winner from Ohio, USA. The same evening a ticket also won €32.6m in the EuroJackpot draw. Last month in Canada a player claimed the largest ever Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth $64m.

There have been some big winners in the UK with an anonymous couple from England scooping a £35m EuroMillions jackpot in September.

Now it’s time for players to start dreaming again, all hoping they’ll be the ones to win the massive EuroMillions jackpot. Don’t miss this opportunity and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com.
