A household in Thunder Bay, Ontario, in Canada, is set to have a very Merry Christmas indeed thanks to a local lottery win on the Lotto Max Encore.

Just this week we told you about a Canadian syndicate who shared $1 million on the Lotto 649, and now Tammy Kozlowski, from Thunder Bay, played Lotto Max Encore on the 3rd of November, and found herself $100,000 richer when the draw took place. Ms Kozlowski bought her winning Lotto Max ticket from Mac’s convenience store on Brown Street in her home town, and claimed her $100,000 prize from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission officials not long before the start of the Christmas season, declaring that Christmas will be quite a bit merrier in her household this year.

It could also be an extra special festive season in other Canadian households as this weekend there was up to $112 million up for grabs across lottery games. The Christmas Lotto Max game had a jackpot worth a huge $60 million, and 30 MaxMillions prizes which were each worth $1 million. Recently a UK Lotto player won £1 million, but vowed still to work on Christmas Day.

But the Lotto Max wasn’t the only Canadian Christmas game on offer, as the Lotto 649 also created aspecial holiday super draw: withthe regular jackpot joining a guaranteed five $1 million prizes to celebrate the holiday season. “What better way to celebrate the holiday season with our players than by offering them huge jackpots and extra $1 million prizes?” said Wendy Montgomery, the Senior Vice Present to the OLG. Another Ontario man won $100,000 on the Lotto Max Encore this summer.

Lottery officials continued to say that players across Canada had thirty-seven chances to become a millionaire with both the Lotto max and Lotto 649 games this Christmas. Did you find yourself a Christmas winner? Did you find a winning ticket in your stocking? We hope your Christmas was as incredible at that of Kevin Jones from England who declared the best Christmas ever after winning £6.1 million on the UK Lotto last year.
