EuroMillions draw delivers couriers a £228,180 win

EUROMILLIONS DRAW DELIVERS COURIERS A £228,180 WIN

Just two weeks after forming a lottery syndicate, a group of couriers from Sheffield in Yorkshire, England, are celebrating a £228,000 win in the March 16 EuroMillions draw. The 19-strong syndicate is called ‘Infonote’ which are those dreaded delivery notes put through your door when deliveries are made while you’re out. They were lucky enough to match the five main balls and one of the Lucky Stars in the March 16 EuroMillions draw. The winning numbers in that draw were 04-17-24-27-31 and the two Lucky Stars 10 and 11. They matched 10 but missed the other one and if they’d matched it would have won the £14.992m EuroMillions jackpot.Syndicate leader, Craig Davison, 50, buys their EuroMillions tickets but does so online. English couple Taryn and Grant Hawkes also play online, and they recently won £1m playing UK Lotto. Each of the syndicate members chooses a line of numbers for the draw. It was Craig who discovered the fact they’d had a £228,180.10 EuroMillions win. He couldn’t believe it when receiving an email telling him about their windfall. “I just thought I was in a dream, or seeing things. I kept touching my computer screen thinking this just cannot be right,” Craig said.He added that the syndicate members had dreamed of a big EuroMillions win but “I don’t think any of us really believed it would happen to us. It is something which always happens to other people.” The lucky EuroMillions syndicate only started playing the game when hearing there was a huge jackpot. “We decided you have got to be in it to win it so we went for it. And we are so glad we did,” said Craig. They are the latest lottery syndicate to get a big win. Last week the ‘Dream Team’ syndicate from Dublin, Ireland landed a €256,048 EuroMillions win. In February, we told you about the group of workers from Slough in Berkshire, England, who won £158,759.50 playing the EuroMillions draw. The EuroMillions winners will each receive around £12,000 and they already have some plans for their winnings, including home improvements just like Canadian Bill Pendergast did after his $1m Lotto 6/49 windfall. Also, on the shopping list of the EuroMillions winning syndicate is buying caravans. Colin and Alison Wright from Pontywaun in Wales will be travelling all around the UK in a motorhome after their £500,000 Thunderball win.You too could become a lottery winner, so play online with us at Lottery24.com.
