OZ LOTTO JACKPOT WINNER TO OPEN ANIMAL REFUGE

Two lucky players from Victoria and Western Australia have come forward to claim their share of the $15m Oz Lotto jackpot won in the May 15 draw. For one, the winners the big win is ‘great timing’ and the other wants to open a new business.

Both of the Oz Lotto winners have asked to remain anonymous just like the recent woman from Sydney who won a $20m Australian Powerball jackpot. The first of the Oz Lotto winners comes from Ringwood in Victoria and his win is “great timing” as it comes just weeks after he got married.

His winning Oz Lotto ticket was purchased from Eastland Newsagency and he also had a winning division five entry, so altogether won $7,550.05. The winning numbers in the draw were 03-06-12-13-29-40-41.

The shocked Oz Lotto jackpot winner commented “I don’t know what’s happening right now. It’s a heck of a lot of money. All of a sudden Oz Lotto has changed our lives. We’ve got a family so it’s just like ‘oh my god’.” Victoria is a lucky state to play lotteries in as last year a player was lucky enough to win a $25m Australian Powerball top prize.

The other winner of the Oz Lotto jackpot comes from Western Australia and is a fly in fly out worker. He’s been working thirteen hours a day, seven days a week but those days are over now, and he said, “It’s hard going and it’s time to take a break now,”

He plans on spending more time with his family and wants to take his mother, who has been in bad health in recent years, on a cruise. In the USA, Stephen Strickland from Maryland, USA, took his family on a cruise after his $100,000 Powerball win.

The delighted Oz Lotto winner is also a pet lover. Firstly, he wants to buy a couple of marrow bones and perhaps even new beds for his dogs. In Florida, USA, a dog also had reason to celebrate after he somehow won a $3m prize in the Florida Lottery’s Gold Rush game.

The Oz Lotto winner’s main aim is fulfilling a lifelong dream to open an animal refuge. “This has given me the time and energy to do it – I just love animals, especially my dogs,” he added.

It’s the latest big win in Western Australia after a grandmother from Middle Swan won a $10m Oz lotto prize.
