$1M CANADIAN LOTTO MAX WIN IS “JUST A BONUS” SAY COUPLE

Two delighted couples from the northern region of Canada have claimed £1m Lotto Max MaxMillions prizes won in the July 13 Lotto Max draw.Bradley and Janice McNeill hail from Yellowknife which is the capital of Northwest Territories. The Lotto Max winners had been to Edmonton and were driving home when they stopped off at the Big River Service Centre in Fort Providence.  The couple aren’t regular players of the lottery just like the recent $32.3m New Zealand Powerball winner who bought his winning ticket on a whim. Charles Caron from Ontario in Canada won a $675,000 Set for Life prize with his first ever scratchcard. However, Bradley said that “for some reason, that day I had it in my mind that I should buy a ticket.”  Looking at the £1m Lotto Max winner’s cheque, he added: “I guess this is why.” The Lotto Max winners have no plans at present on how they’ll spend their winnings. Perhaps they’ll buy a dream house as Michael McNair from North Carolina, USA, did with his $2m Powerball windfall. Mr McNeill did say that “retirement is just that much closer.” His wife added: “We already have everything that we could want – this is just a bonus.”Also celebrating are Edwin and Laura Vanderkley from Whitehorse in Yukon. It was Mr Vanderkley who purchased their winning Lotto Max ticket from the Porter Creek Super A in Whitehorse. It wasn’t until a few days later that his wife read in her newspaper that there had been a $1m winning Lotto Max ticket sold in Whitehorse."I emailed the winning numbers to Edwin, so he could check the tickets," said Laura. She was delighted when he replied with the fantastic news that their numbers did indeed match. Still wanting more proof of their Lotto Max win, they downloaded an app to scan their ticket and then took it to a local lottery retailer where their Lotto Max win was confirmed.Fellow Canadians Candace Owens and Mark McKenzie from Ontario who also needed several checks before believing their $1m Lotto Max win. It took a second look for a male player in Ireland before he realised he’d won €1,005,000 playing EuroMillions.“We were both in disbelief," said Mrs Vanderkley. The Lotto Max winning couple already have some ideas on how they will spend their windfall. They want to use some of their winnings to pay some bills and purchase a holiday property. For your chance to win with your favourite international lottery, play now at Lottery24.com!
