23-year-old Jérémie Gagnon from Bas-Saint-Laurent in Quebec, Canada, has already quit his job after winning the $33m jackpot in the Lotto 6/49 draw held on Wednesday August 29. Now he wants to go back to school so he can do something very special.

August had five Wednesdays, and it was the final one that gave Gangon his Lotto 6/49 jackpot win. He found out about his win in the early hours of August 30 after returning home from his job at midnight. He played video games until 2am and then decided to check the Lotto 6/49 result and discovered his jackpot win.

Gagnon looked at his Lotto 6/49 ticket again and again for a quarter of an hour and then thought to himself “I have to call someone. I can’t keep this to myself.”  He decided to call his father who was asleep at the time. That’s something the Lotto 6/49 winner admits he hasn’t done much himself since becoming a lottery millionaire.

Jérémie says that he’s been buying just the one lottery ticket a week for the past couple of years. Now that’s produced a big Lotto 6/49 jackpot win it was just hours before he quit his job and doesn’t have any plans to work in the immediate future. That’s unlike the recent $543m Mega Millions winning syndicate. Not so for Canadians Stephanie Lewis and Keith Hayman who retired after winning their $30m Lotto Max windfall.  Canadian truck driver Bruce Osmond also never worked again after his $1m Lotto 6/49 win.

Rather than going to work on Friday the Lotto 6/49 winner went shopping for a Nissan GTR sports car – his dream car.  He now wants to return to school so the French speaker can learn the English language. That will help him go traveling around Europe and Asia. “I really like learning, so I intend to go back (to school) to study,” said the delighted Lotto 6/49 winner.

Gagnon says that he has never travelled abroad before and now he’s a Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner he intends making his first trip within a month.  Robert Van Zytveld from British Columbia in Canada is taking his wife to Bora after their $500,000 Lotto Max win.  A syndicate of Irish workers are planning plenty of holidays after winning €278,540 playing EuroMillions. His winning numbers in the August 29 Lotto 6/49 draw were 07-08-14-23-35-40 and in all he’ll receive $33,600,463.20.
