The second EuroMillions Superdraw of 2026 is scheduled for June 5th, promising a minimum jackpot of €130 million.
A Whopping €159 Million at Stake in the EuroMillions Lottery

Lottery enthusiasts and dreamers alike are in for a treat as the EuroMillions jackpot has soared to a staggering €159 million (£137 million). This comes after an unbroken streak of 12 consecutive rollovers. The jackpot's meteoric rise has outpaced the initially scheduled Superdraw that was supposed to take place on a Friday night, which has now been postponed to a later date.
The Intrigue of Superdraws
Superdraws are special events in the world of lottery, occurring three or four times a year and boasting a prize pot starting at €130 million (approximately £110 million). These events are typically announced several weeks ahead, creating an air of anticipation among players who eagerly await these dates, knowing there's a guaranteed large jackpot up for grabs without having to bank on multiple rollovers.
In this particular case, however, the regular jackpot has surpassed the advertised Superdraw amount on its own due to several weeks without any winner. As a result, the jackpot continues its upward trajectory. If someone had clinched the jackpot on Tuesday, the planned €130 million Superdraw would have proceeded as scheduled. A similar situation unfolded last year when the summer Superdraw was effectively scrapped because the regular jackpot had already exceeded it. That time around, a lucky ticket holder from Ireland walked away with an all-time record-breaking €250 million.
A Chance for History to Repeat Itself
History could be on course to repeat itself as the current jackpot continues to swell until someone manages to match all the numbers or until it hits the maximum cap of €250 million. Once it reaches this limit, the jackpot will stay capped for up to four draws, after which it must be won in the fifth draw at the capped amount of €250 million.
Year 2026: A Year of Big Wins
The year 2026 has already been marked by several substantial jackpots. This is the fourth time in a row that the top prize has crossed the €100 million threshold without being claimed. The first jackpot winner of 2026 was a Belgian player who pocketed €123 million on 30th January. This was followed by a UK participant winning £181 million (€209 million) on 10th March, following the first Superdraw of the year a couple of weeks prior. By 21st April, the jackpot had climbed back up to an impressive €144 million (£125 million), leading to a rare triple-win. Two winning tickets were bought in the UK (each worth £41.8 million), while a French player won €48.1 million with another ticket.
With such enormous wins and even larger jackpots on offer, players around Europe are eagerly waiting for their chance to claim their stake in lottery history.
