“Fabulous Holidays” for £1 million EuroMillions Winner

A mother from Portsmouth in Hampshire, England, is planning “some fabulous holidays” after her £1 million EuroMillions win.

The fantastic win came in the April 4 EuroMillions draw. Although the lucky winner has asked to remain anonymous she has been speaking to lottery officials about her success.

“I couldn’t believe it.”

It’s obviously a massive shock to check your lottery account and discover a big win. No wonder this EuroMillions winner said: “I couldn’t  believe it when I checked my account.”  Then she began to wonder if it was true. “I just wanted someone to confirm it was real,” she added.

When her win was confirmed, the celebrations began as she and her daughter opened a bottle of champagne.

The EuroMillions winner says the £1 million win as “life-changing.” Plans for her windfall include getting on the property ladder and enjoying some “fabulous holidays.” Top of her list is a holiday in the Maldives.  Recently another Hampshire resident won a £200,000 Postcode Lottery prize.

The senior winners’ advisor at National Lottery operators Allwyn is Andy Carter. He described this win as “incredible.” Mr Carter added: “We can tell how much this win means to the lucky lady and we’re so happy that this prize will have such a positive impact on the winner’s life.”

Allwyn have been running the National Lottery since February 2024  but could be facing regulatory action.

£140 million jackpot tomorrow

Perhaps the Portsmouth winner will have even more good luck in tomorrow night’s EuroMIllions draw. The jackpot will be a fantastic £140 million. The top prize has not been won since April 4 when a ticket sold in France won a €30.1 million jackpot.

The EuroMillions jackpot has been won five times this year with the largest win being a record  €250 million. That was won by a ticket purchased in Austria in the April 28 draw.

Friday June 6 is scheduled to see the second EuroMillions Superdraw of the year take place. That will see a top prize of €130 million (£111 million).
