Happy Days for $4.8m Australian Lottery Winner

As much as he likes his job, he just couldn’t wait for his work day to end. He’d already started work when receiving a call from the lottery telling him of his fantastic win in the August 22 Set for Life draw. He didn’t go home though and carried on with his work to the best of his ability.

The thought of becoming a lottery millionaire was on his mind all day. He couldn’t wait to get home and then finally be able to speak in depth about his win.

His ticket had been the only division one winner in the Set for Life draw. He’ll receive his winnings in installments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

Once his win was confirmed, he spoke to lottery officials about his  success. “Happy days”” he said, “I’ve been thinking about it all day,” the delighted player added. As for work, he had been chatting recently about possibly retiring in five years time. His Set for Life win has “just brought that forward by many years.”

Other plans for his lottery win include buying a house and traveling around Australia. He loves driving in the outback so a road trip is the plan. “I can look forward to retirement and do all the things I’ve wanted to do,” said the delighted lottery winner.
