Eight years ago, Neil Trotter won a £108 million EuroMillions jackpot. Coping with that great slice of luck hasn’t always been easy for the Englishman.

In time he did buy plenty of luxury items. His love of cars saw him driving a Jaguar and a Porsche rather than his pre-lottery win Ford Focus.

He also bought a Grade II-listed mansion with 400 acres of land and his very own lake. That’s something he had always wanted. He used to tell his father “I’d have a house with a lake, and he’d say, ‘In your dreams son!”
