Whoever bought the ticket matched all of those numbers to win the jackpot prize, but lottery officials declined to confirm whether the ticket was being claimed by an individual EuroMillions player or a syndicate.The €28.9 million in prize money is now on its way to Ireland, and will be in the country ready for the winner to claim it today. The National Lottery officials said, “This is an incredible amount of money to win and we are delighted to have another winner of EuroMillions in Ireland.” Another recent Irish EuroMillions winner was set to buy her own home after her life-changing win.Irish Lotto officials continued to say that they prefer to give high profile winners of large amounts time and space to make decisions about how they are going to spend their money, and to tell their friends and family before the news is plastered across the front pages. An Irish EuroMillions Plus winner took two months to claim, because he said he was in “no rush” to take home his prize. The EuroMillions winner therefore has 90 days from the date of the draw to fully claim their prize money. A Powerball lottery winner from Connecticut took three months to claim his $50,000 prize.The Co Mayo winner is the 11th EuroMillions jackpot winner in Ireland since the multinational game started in 2004, and takes the amount of Irish EuroMillions winnings to over €1 billion.
