As the EuroMillions jackpot rolls on, currently standing at a massive £71 million after going without a winner since the beginning of December, we caught up with the latest jackpot winner to find out what she plans to do with her new found fortune.Margaret Loughrey won an estimated jackpot of £27 million in the EuroMillions lottery draw on Tuesday, 26th November and the win couldn’t have come at a more opportune time for the County Tyrone woman. From Strabane, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, Ms Loughrey was at the time suffering in the economic downturn and had found herself unemployed and living on a job seeker’s allowance of just £58 per week in the run up to Christmas. However, taking a chance with her much guarded pound and pennies, she bought a ticket for the EuroMillions draw on the 26th November and the next day found that her lucky dip matched all of the five main numbers 19, 23, 27, 42 and 44 as well as the Lucky Stars 3 and 5, making her £26.5 million richer overnight.Ms Loughrey has said that over the previous few months she has not often been able to afford to play the Euro Millions, and taking a chance on the lottery was taking a huge gamble. However, despite the winnings having already landed in her bank account, Northern Ireland’s biggest ever lottery winner has insisted that she won’t be keeping all of the money to herself, explaining that “there’s no point in keeping £27 million to myself and being lonely” and she would be sharing her fortune with those closest to her. Insisting that the windfall will not change her, Ms Loughrey promised the money would benefit her family and close friends including her four brothers, sister and 75 year old mother. You must be in it to win it... purchase your EuroMillions lottery tickets online at
