A couple from Atlantic Canada who won a $30 million prize on the national Lotto Max game are set to retire, but they’re only in their twenties.Stephanie Lewis, 24, and her partner Keith Hayman, 29, won the top prize on the lottery game on November 6th, and told lottery officials that winning such a large prize was a “wonderful feeling.” The couple won half of what was a $60 million lottery jackpot, with the other half being claimed by a man from Edmonton in Alberta. Thanks to their Lotto Max winnings, they said that they will now be able to help out a lot of their family members as well as themselves, with both sets of their parents also set to retire.“We are both going to get a new vehicle. We are going to pay off what we owe, pay off our mortgage now, no more plans really,” said Ms Lewis of their plans for themselves, which don’t differ hugely from a Saskatchewan couple who also recently paid off their mortgage thanks to a Lotto Max win. Stephanie did say that she has her eye on a Cadillac Escalade for her new car, while her boyfriend wants a new pickup.Both halves of the couple retired from their jobs last month, just like Jamie Mackenzie from Nova Scotia did when she won $1 million on the Lotto 649 game. Ms Lewis was working as a quality-assurance control worker, while Mr Hayman was a welder.
