LOYAL EUROMILLIONS FANS FINALLY SEE THEIR PATIENCE PAY OFF

A couple of EuroMillions players who have been committed to playing the lottery since its creation have finally seen their patience pay off as they won a £1 million prize.Tom Nugent, 78, and his wife Brenda, 73, became millionaires in this week’s midweek EuroMillions draw as their ticket matched the numbers drawn from the Millionaire Maker raffle. From Garstang in England, the couple have been playing the EuroMillions lottery draw every week ever since the lottery game was launched in February 2004.The couple, who married 19 years ago, purchased their winning ticket at their local Sainsbury’s supermarket, and checked it the very night of the draw to reveal that they had become millionaires. Mr Nugent said that he doesn’t usually check his numbers until the following day, but that evening his football team, Preston North End, had been playing, and as he was online checking to see how his team had done, he thought he might as well check the EuroMillions numbers as well.“I looked at the numbers and said to myself ‘rubbish as usual’”, Mr Nugent said of the main EuroMillions numbers, of which he had not matched any. However, he then remembered to check the Millionaire Maker code against the winning combination, and soon discovered that they were winners. After checking and rechecking the ticket several times, the former wagon driver called for his wife who was reading in bed. After checking what her husband had seen, Ms Nugent said “We knew we had won but we didn’t like to say until somebody had told us we’d won.”First thing the following morning, the lucky couple called Camelot who confirmed their EuroMillions win, and their millionaire status was reasserted. The couple said that they were still in shock, however, and Mrs Nugent said that all she could do was continue with her washing. However, the EuroMillions winners then got in touch with Mrs Nugent’s two children who were delighted for their parents, and their seven grandchildren were equally as ecstatic. The couple plan to spend their money on moving to a bungalow, but still in Garstang, and they will also buy a new car, take a few trips in the UK, and treat their growing family. Mr Nugent also said that he might treat himself to a box at Preston North End.The EuroMillions draw this evening will feature the Mega Friday event, where ten people will become millionaires, and win a luxury holiday!Don’t miss this opportunity and purchase your tickets online at Lottery24.com.
