Millions of pounds in unclaimed lottery wins are still up for grabs
Over £11.4m in unclaimed lottery wins are about to run out across the UK. Winners could lose out on their prizes altogether if they don’t claim them by the deadlines.
Six months to collect their prize
A £1m prize was about to run out earlier this week but the winner claimed it just in time. With just a few hours left the winner from Manchester, England, came forward.The numbers in the draw from January 2019 were 3-17-36-42-51-57 and Bonus Ball 18.Camelot is still validating the ticket, but there’s still 14 other jackpots waiting on their winner.Winners usually have six months from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. The next deadline to pass is at the end of this month, on another £1 million lottery win.That winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased in the West Oxfordshire District. The winner has until 28 July 2019 to claim the £1 million prize.Other £1 million unclaimed lottery wins were sold in Preston, Coventry and Yorkshire. Those ticket holders have until the end of August and the beginning of September to make a claim.
Plenty of prizes left waiting
Across the UK, there are ten EuroMillions and two UK Lotto jackpot tickets worth £1 million each yet to be claimed. Two smaller EuroMillions prizes are also waiting for their winners.The new Set for Life game is also waiting for winners of a total £240,000 to come forward.It has been a bumper year for UK lottery players.
