Nappy Changing  Leads to £404,048 Postcode Lottery Prize

A hectic time changing nappies led to Dave Lowe from Arnold in Nottinghamshire, England winning a £404,048 Postcode Lottery prize.

He had been planning to cancel his Postcode Lottery ticket. However, his wife, Kim gave birth to their first child Olivia. That was a historic event as she was the first baby born in Nottingham this year.

Changing her nappy took his mind off the cancellation and he’s so glad that happened. “Thank goodness, “ he said, “because here we are a couple of months later and £400,000 richer. His wife added: “We’ll thank her when she’s older.”  A recent  £154,000 Postcode Lottery winner also nearly cancelled their ticket.

Aston Martin

Now he’s looking at buying a new car and joked: “Can you get a baby seat in an Aston Martin?” Kim is looking forward to buying a larger house with their Postcode Lottery windfall.  

A holiday is also being planned and possibly an executive box at Nottingham Forest related treat for her football-mad husband. Recently  winning a £400,000 Postcode Lottery prize was the former Nottingham Forest footballer Clive Bull.

Also winning a £404,048 Postcode Lottery prize are Anne-Marie Maund and her fiance Mark Bonnar. They have been celebrating their win as has their rabbit Ronnie who ran around their garden with joy.

Honeymoon

The couple have been together for over 15 years and share four sons and a daughter. They are due to get married on August 25. That will now be upgraded and they will have additional spending money for their honeymoon in Tenerife.

Their home is going to be extended and that will mean a long-desired new dining table for Anne-Marie.

Linda Davis is also celebrating after winning £404,408. Her win comes just three months after starting to play the Postcode Lottery. Her husband Trevor was the one who suggested they start playing.

Their three daughters and six grandchildren will all receive “a good treat.” There will also be a massive celebration next year when the couple celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary.
