New Vacuum Cleaner for £5.2 million UK Lotto Winner

Gary McDonald from Barking in Essex, England has just bought a new vacuum cleaner. Well he can afford it with ease after he won a £5.2 million UK Lotto prize on April 16.

The lorry driver could have purchased the most expensive one on the market. However, he admits that  “still shopped around for the best deal.”

The 60-year-old UK Lotto winner has already decided to quit his job as a lorry driver. He’d been delivering parcels for the past 30 years but his working days are now over.

Marriage

Another big decision has been made by the UK Lotto winner. This summer there’ll be a larger than planned wedding to his partner of 25 years, Anita.  A new home is going to be purchased too and it’ll be away from the city and have a large garden.

It was 5.20 am while getting ready for another day at work that he noticed he’d received an email from the National Lottery informing him of a win. At first he thought he’d won £35 and even that delighted him.

Then he looked again and discovered his £5.2 million win. No wonder he said: “It is difficult to make sense of it.”   Toni Henderson initially thought her £1 million win was just £1,700.

He then endured what he’s described as “the longest two-and-a-half hours” of his life before the phone lines opened and his win was confirmed.

Convinced of his win, he called his boss at 6.30am and resigned. That’s something he’s wanted to do for a while as it’s “physically hard work.”   A recent £7.5 million UK Lotto winner  is still working unblocking drains.

Bad language

Telling everyone about his UK Lotto win has been fun. He joked: “I don’t think I have ever been sworn at so much.”

Now he’s a millionaire, he plans on going to watch every Formula One race that is held around the world. He’s even considering taking up lawn bowls and of course he has that new vacuum cleaner.
