Potential Road Rage Incident Leads to $600,000 Lottery Win

A potential road rage situation turned into a $600,000 lottery win for a lucky player from New Jersey, USA.

It can be rather stressful driving a car especially in congested traffic. That was the case on June 3 and it was frustrating the Essex County resident.

He was out running some errands in South Orange and one particular car was annoying him.. It had just stopped in front of him and that led to the frustrated driver honking his horn. However, the other driver remained where he was rather than moving.

“I could tell he was glaring at me,” so not wanting “the drama” he decided to get out of his car and go to buy some lottery tickets. What a great decision that proved to be.

Two of the lottery tickets he purchased produced a total of $100 in wins. It was the ‘Colossal Crossword’ scratchcard that really made his day as he explained to lottery officials.

“I couldn't see the words at first. Then I saw I got three... four and kept going. When I got to seven, I couldn't breathe."

In all, ten words were completed, winning him the top prize of $600,000. Now he’s very thankful to the car driver who he nearly had a major argument with.  “In chaos, there's a blessing,” the lottery winner said. Last year  a New Jersey family won a $221 million Powerball jackpot.

This is not his first taste of major lottery success. In the past few months, he’d had three more wins with a total of $6,700 being won.

Not a surprise?

It seems that the lottery win wasn’t a total surprise for him. The delighted winner says he started playing the game after he dreamt of winning the jackpot six months ago.

That led to him starting to buy tickets and the rest is history.  A $30 million Australian Powerball winner said some of his numbers came to him in a dream.    Now he will use his lottery winnings to “eliminate my debts” and help his children.
