£171 million EuroMillions Jackpot Won By UK Ticket

After a series of rollovers, the £171 million EuroMillions jackpot was won on Friday September 23. For the sixth time in 2022, it was a ticket sold in the UK that won the jackpot. The win has already been claimed.

The winning numbers in Friday’s EuroMillions draw were: 14-15-22-35-48 and the two Lucky Stars 03 and 08. In all, the jackpot win was £171,815,297.80 and is the third highest win by a ticket sold in the UK.

Although the win has been claimed, we have no idea who has been successful. Camelot’s Andy Carter said of the win: "We are delighted to have received a claim for the third biggest ever win and look forward to supporting the ticket-holder and helping them to start to enjoy their truly life-changing win."

Will we find out who won the EuroMillions jackpot? That’s entirely up to the winner(s) whether they remain anonymous or go public.

It’s an historic win because there have now been 120 EuroMillions jackpot winning tickets sold in the UK. That takes them one ahead of France and six clear of Spain.

For 2022 though, it’s the size of the UK jackpot wins that is so amazing. Only one of the six top prize wins has been for less than £100 million. July saw a £195.7 million jackpot win and the total of their six wins is just under £800 million.

Three other UK tickets won the second-tier prize in Friday’s draw, each winning £93,099.60. Five other tickets were just one Lucky Star away from sharing the jackpot. Three of those were sold in Spain, one in France and the other in Belgium with their winnings being €144,591.60.

Could more big jackpots be won this week? Tonight’s Powerball draw has a top prize of $285 million. The Mega Millions jackpot also rolled over at the weekend and tomorrow’s top prize is $325 million. It’s also the SuperEnalotto draw tomorrow and the jackpot is now a massive €278.3 million.
