Soon after he became a record signing for German Bundesliga team Bochum. Later he was transferred to Freiburg and scored 21 times for those two German sides and used to earn around £50,000-a-year. Donna Smith from Suffolk in England returned from holiday in Corfu to discover she’d won a £1m EuroMillions prize. The former footballer chose his winning numbers in a way used by many former winners. They were the birthdays of his children and he’s been using the same numbers for several years hoping one day to win a Danish Lottery jackpot. That’s like Judy Finchum from Colorado, USA, who used family birthdays and even that of her ex-husbands to win a $133.2m Powerball jackpot. Using family birthdays also paid off for Rose Dittano from Virginia, USA, helping her to win $1m playing the Mega Millions. North Carolina resident Gregory Errthum used the same numbers for 32 years before landing a $150,000 Powerball prize.Tommy received an email telling him about his big win in the Danish Lottery draw. He recognized the email address as he’d had a win in the past, that was only 50 krone though. He quickly called Danske Spil, who organize the lottery, and his win was confirmed. In England, former Chelsea player Terry Bradbury won a £5.5m UK Lotto win jackpot." I don't yet know for sure what I will do with the money. But I’m sure my winter holidays will be longer from now on," joked the 35-year-old Danish Lottery winner.
