Huge Success for France and the UK

We had to say ‘countries’ because at present it’s a tie for top spot. Both France and the United Kingdom have had 108 jackpot winning tickets with both having four wins so far this year.

Spain loves a Superdraw

Spain are in third place with 104 jackpot winning tickets. When it comes to the big draws, Spanish eyes are often smiling. 2020 has seen them win three EuroMillions jackpots but in all those wins totalled €325m, the highest total this year, €40m ahead of France.

Spain have won three Superdraws since their introduction in 2007. This is the third EuroMillions Superdraw of the year. The first was held in February and saw a Spanish ticket scoop the €130m jackpot. Next up was a Superdraw in July, that ended in a rollover but soon after a ticket sold in Spain landed a massive €144m jackpot.

Portugal have also had tremendous success in this lottery. There have been 78 jackpot winning tickets sold in that country, 40 more than Belgium in fifth place. They’ve had one jackpot win this year, when in January they had a €100m jackpot success.

Just because a country hasn’t had a great number of jackpot wins in the past doesn’t mean they might win tonight. Luxembourg have only had three jackpot winning tickets but one of those was in January of this year when €28m was won. That was their first jackpot win since 2015.

Ireland have had 18 successes and two of them were this year, so perhaps a third is on its way. 17 jackpot winning tickets have been sold in Austria, the last being in 2018, another must be due soon surely?
