$1 million Lotto Max Birthday Surprise for Lucky Virginia

It’s great to receive a surprise on your birthday. However, it is tough to beat the one Virginia Zapanta from Scarborough in Ontario Canada had this year. That was when she discovered her $1 million Lotto Max win.

The fantastic win came in the draw held on April 25 and her cheque has now been presented to her. Her win comes after playing lotteries for over 40 years.

The Scarborough resident explained how her latest Lotto Max purchase was made. “I was shopping at the mall and on my way out, I came across a kiosk, so I decided to stop and grab a ticket,”

Virginia didn’t check the results until a few days after the Lotto Max draw was held. It was finally checked on her 83rd birthday and what a shock she received.  That’s like Anne Foley who had two big birthday wins thanks to scratchcards.

Froze

“When I saw the prize amount on the screen, I froze,” said the Lotto Max winner. Her heart began racing and she asked the store clerk “is this real? This can’t be real!’”

It most certainly was and it’s by far her best lottery win. Over the 40-plus years, her successes have just been the odd $5 or a free play for a future draw.

Just crazy

Now $1 million has been won and it’s a prize the winner describes as “just crazy.”  The Lotto Max player added: “I’ve never seen such a large amount before!”

Never is the senior citizen going to forget the moment her friends “started dancing around me” as news of her $1 million win spread.  It’s the latest win in Ontario after  a recent $65 million Lotto Max success.

Plans for her win include paying off her mortgage and helping her family. A shopping spree is also on its way.

“This win lets me cross one of the last few things off my bucket list,” added the delighted player. “This is hands down one of my favourite birthdays ever. 83 is my year!” declared the Lotto Max player.
