£57.97M EUROMILLIONS WINNERS WON’T BE MOVING HOUSE

Players across Europe will be hoping that Tuesday October 2 will see them win the £143m EuroMillions jackpot. It’s an amount that is the highest jackpot of the year but how will it change the life of whoever wins the massive jackpot?

A couple who know just what it’s like to win a massive prize are Fred and Lesley Higgins from Scotland, who won a £57.97m EuroMillions jackpot in the draw held on July 10.  They very nearly didn’t win their EuroMillions jackpot after a store assistant thought their ticket hadn’t won anything and tore it in half and put it in a bin. Thankfully, the wrong declaration was realised and after some security checks, they received their £57.97m winnings.

Despite being multi-millionaires thanks to their EuroMillions windfall, the Scottish couple haven’t moved out of their four-bedroom house for somewhere a lot larger. That’s unlike Darren and Kate Donaghey from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England, who will be moving to a larger home after winning £1m on a National Lottery Monopoly Classic scratchcard. The same decision was taken by Charlotte Peart from Whittlesey near Peterborough, England after winning £1m in the August 28 EuroMillions HotPicks draw.

The £57.97m EuroMillions winners have been living in their home in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire for the past 11 years. Fred commented: “We’ve no plans to go anywhere. We certainly won’t be selling the house or anything like that.”

However, the couple seem to have made one major purchase as a new BMW has been seen parked on their driveway. The National Lottery Mega Millionaire Academy helps winners cope with their newfound wealth and that includes showing how to gift wrap a Range Rover, as you do.

It’s been a hectic time for the EuroMillions winners since their success in July. Mr Morgan said that he and his wife have “been too busy doing various things to really enjoy the money to be honest. But things are okay, everyone’s been very nice to us and very good.”

Big lottery winners often quit their jobs once they become millionaires. That’s just what Alfred and Deborah Ayotte from Canada did after their $1.6m Lotto 6/49 win. Since their EuroMillions win in July, Lesley has quit her port authority job in Montrose. Now the couple, who have been married for 35 years, plan to travel the world.

The next EuroMillions draw is on Tuesday October 2 and after Friday’s rollover, the jackpot climbs to £143m. Don’t miss this chance of becoming a big winner and play online at Lottery24.com.
