Samantha Jean and Paul Scanlon are both celebrating being a Massachusetts scratch-off winner. Now they can’t wait to start spending their fantastic windfalls.
The Diamond 9’s scratchcard turned Samantha Jean from Orange, Massachusetts into a millionaire. Samantha was lucky enough to win one of the $4 million prizes that are up for grabs.
Plans for a new house
The delighted winner has accepted her prize as a one-off lump sum payment of $2.6 million after tax. She now plans to buy a new house with her winnings.
Her winning scratchcard was purchased from the Weatherheads Convenience Store in Erving. The store will also receive $40,000 for making the sale.

Another Massachusetts scratch-off winner in the Diamond 9’s game was Dennis Haynes from Abington.
A visit to his local 7-Eleven saw him win $1 million in February and he’s now using his fantastic winnings to enjoy life and help out his family.

Another lucky Massachusetts scratch-off winner is Paul Scanlon from Foxborough.
His success came in the 200x game and he won a $1 million prize. He’s the 50th person to win that amount since it was introduced by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Mr Scanlon decided to accept his winnings as a one-off payment which will be $650,000 after tax. There are still two $15 million prizes available in the 200x scratch-off game.
His life-changing scratchcard was purchased from Landy’s Market on Broadway in Raynham. The store also receives a $10,000 bonus for selling the 200x scratchcard.
