$2 million Scratchcard Win Thanks to Lucky Seven

It’s not been the easiest of years for a father from Michigan, USA. However, it’s getting better and he’s celebrating winning the top prize on a $2,000,000 Lucky 7’s scratchcard. Now he knows seven really is his lucky number.

Last year saw floods in the state of Michigan and the man lost everything due to them. The Midlands County player has asked to remain anonymous but has spoken about his fantastic scratchcard win.

He describes his windfall as “so overwhelming to me” and it will turn his life around. The 29-year-old isn’t a regular purchaser of $20 scratchcards. He was on his way to pick up his children and decided to do a spot of shopping at Anna’s Market in Midland on his way. That was when he says, “the Lucky 7’s ticket caught my eye.”

Seven is so Lucky

What was so special about this game? "Seven is a lucky number for me, so I decided to take a chance," said the soon to be millionaire. He didn’t take long to find out if his scratchcard was aw winner of not. It was quickly scratched off his car and it managed to match a winning number.

"When I saw I had a match, I thought, 'Great, I won my money back!' When I saw I had actually won $2 million, I couldn't stop shaking,” he recalled.

Second Big Win

This isn’t his first big win. A few years ago, he was lucky enough to win $10,000. “I thought that was my once in a lifetime shot.” How wrong could he be?

The lucky scratchcard player has accepted his winnings as a one-off payment of around $1.3 million. Now he plans on paying off some of his bills with the remainder boosting his savings. "Knowing my kids will be taken care of is the best feeling in the world," said the scratchcard winner.
