$600 million Mega Millions Jackpot Tonight!

Tonight’s Mega Millions draw will see players attempting to win a $600 million jackpot. Let’s hope it is a ticket purchased from Lottery24 that scoops the top prize.

No win since June

Not since June 27 has the Mega Millions jackpot been won. On that occasion  it was a lottery ticket sold in Virginia that won $348 million.

That was the fourth time this year that the Mega Millions jackpot has been won. Ever since then we’ve been waiting for the fifth to come along.

Tonight’s top prize is by far the largest of 2025. The record win this year is the $349 million won by a ticket purchased in Illinois, seven months ago.

Since that big win,  there have been major changes made to how the Mega Millions draw operates.

While the top prize isn’t being won on a regular basis, the value of non-jackpot prizes has increased with more millionaires being created. The totals being won by players who failed to match the five main balls and the Mega Ball has increased by over 330%.

The Lead Director of the Mega Millions Consortium is Joshua Johnston. He says  “We’re all waiting to see what happens when the jackpot really starts to climb.  Now that it’s at more than a half-billion dollars, we expect more infrequent players to begin playing, and that should push the jackpot even higher.”

Last year saw the Mega Millions jackpot only won four times. Of that quartet of successes, two were over the billion dollars mark.

Another EuroMillions win for the UK

While the Mega Millions jackpot is proving rather elusive at present, that’s not so with the EuroMillions draw.

Last Friday saw a slight delay take place before the results were known. When they were revealed, it was great news for a UK ticket as it had won the £25.7 million top prize. The winnings have already been claimed and it’s the second jackpot win for the UK in a week!

Tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is £14 million. Will we see another big win this evening?
