Appropriate Song Playing as $1 million Scratchcard Prize Discovered

Sometimes the song that you’re listening to can become very relevant. That’s been the case for a woman from Illinois, USA. While listening to Pink Floyd’s song “Money”, she discovered a $1 million scratchcard win.

We don’t know the real name of the scratchcard winner but she’s given herself the nickname ‘Winning Fish.’  Perhaps “Material Girl” would be more appropriate after her $1 million win.

The win nearly didn’t happen as ‘Winning Fish’ very nearly chose a different scratchcard to play rather than the one that won $1 million. Thankfully, she chose the ‘Ultimate Bonus Payout’ scratchcard but why?

“It was as if my vision blocked out all the other tickets – this one was meant to be,” said the scratchcard winner whose favourite song now might just be Abba’s “Money, Money, Money.”

The lucky winner recalled how she was enjoying a chocolate bar while that classic Pink Floyd song was being listened to.

Heart attack

When discovering her scratchcard had made her a millionaire, straightaway she FaceTimed her son.  'I'm going to have a heart attack- I just won $1 million’ was the unforgettable message sent. It’s another big win in the state after  a $552 million Mega Millions success last year.

There’s a song called ‘Money Changes Everything’ and that is just what will happen for this scratchcard winner and around 15 family members.

They will all receive help thanks to this win, especially her three grown-up children. One friend being helped has four children and has just moved into a new apartment, so will be grateful for the financial assistance. Last year  an Illinois couple won a $3 million scratchcard prize.

Bucket list

The scratchcard winner wants to buy a new car, one with a sunroof. A holiday in the Keys (not the Dark Side of the Moon) with her husband is also being planned. That will allow her to tick off an item on her bucket list - swimming with dolphins.

You could say her windfall is ‘Easy Money’ but it will give her plenty of ‘Opportunities’ in the future.
