Belgian Ticket Scoops €130 million EuroMillions Jackpot

Friday’s EuroMillions Superdraw produced a €130 million jackpot win for a ticket that had been sold in Belgium.

The numbers drawn on Friday were 04-17-25-28-44 with the two Lucky Stars 05 and 11. Just one ticket was able to match all those numbers. The winner is yet to come forward to claim their fantastic EuroMillions winnings.

Third best Belgian win

It’s not the largest win by a ticket that had been purchased in Belgium. The record win is still the €168 million won in 2016 by a ticket sold in Schaerbeek. This is in fact the third largest EuroMillions win, just falling behind the €153 million won in 2017.

There were some near-misses in Friday’s EuroMillions draw. 12 tickets were able to match the five main balls but only one of the Lucky Stars. Two were sold in the UK, each winning their owner(s) £63,856.70. Elsewhere in Europe, five were sold in France, two each in Belgium and Switzerland and one in Portugal, each winning €95,952.40.

This was the second EuroMillions Superdraw of the year. There are usually four in a year so it’s very likely we’ll see another one before Christmas.

The previous three Superdraws held had all ended in rollovers. This was the first time that a EuroMillions Superdraw has produced a jackpot winner since March 2024 when a ticket sold in Portugal won €130 million. Tomorrow’s draw will have a £14 million jackpot.

No Mega Millions winner

Meanwhile in the USA, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow. Friday’s draw produced another rollover with no tickets able to match: 04-21-27-33-49 and the Mega Ball 21 to win the $474 million jackpot. Earlier this year  changes were made to the Mega Millions draw.

One ticket that was sold in Virginia matched all but the Mega Ball to win $2 million. Recently a woman from that state  won a $150,000 Powerball prize and gave it all away.

Tomorrow’s Mega Millions draw sees the jackpot up to $497 million, the highest of the year.
