Childhood Dream To Come True for £15m Oz Lotto Winner

We all have dreams and a big lottery win can help turn them into reality. That’s what is going to happen for a man from Maitland in New South Wales, Australia. He’s just won a $15 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

His big win came in the October 7 Oz Lotto draw. His was the division one winning ticket. He didn’t see the Oz Lotto draw live so didn’t immediately know of his success.. 

His ticket hadn’t been registered so the lottery company had to wait for him to claim his prize. It was only when he did his weekly ticket check that an amazing discovery was made.

Heart attack

When calling them, the shocked player said: “I can’t believe it! I don’t even know what to say. I’m having a heart attack.”   Another $15 million Oz Lotto winner  also thought a heart attack was on the way after realising they’d won.

He admitted that finding out he’d won $15 million “was very hard to process” and he was “having trouble thinking straight.”

The state of New South Wales is enjoying a run of success. This month had already seen a $1 million Weekday Windfall win. 

The Oz Lotto winner added that he’s been playing the same numbers for “20-odd years now.”  They have produced several wins over the years but usually around $30 and he’s “always happy” with that. Winning $15 million though “is a lot to take in .”

Owning a farmhouse is now going to become reality for the Oz Lotto winner. That will see him following in the footsteps of his parents who were farm owners when he was a child. Other plans include helping his family members.

Excited

His winning Oz Lotto ticket was bought from Greenhills Newsagency in East Maitland. Team member Tiama Perry said everyone in the shop was “excited” to hear that the $15 million winner had come forward.

Recalling when the big win was discovered. Tiama said they “initially thought the screen was freezing.”  This is the biggest division one winning ticket the newsagency has sold.
