Double Lottery Success for New South Wales

September was a successful month for lottery players in the Australian state of New South Wales. For one winner, it took a while for him to discover his amazing success.

The September 22 Weekday Windfall draw saw a man from Shoal Bay win $1 million. However, it took him a week to find out he was a millionaire.

His ticket had been registered so the lottery company knew he’d won. They tried to contact him but the elusive player missed several phone calls. A week after the draw he finally checked his ticket and his great win was revealed.

Uncertain about his win he asked his neighbour to check his ticket. When doing that, all she could say was: “I can’t breathe!” Even then he wasn’t sure.

Patient player

The Weekday Windfall winner says the $1 million will “most definitely help.” He’s a patient player as he’d been playing the same numbers for “the past 40 or 50 years now.” Last year a player vwon a $50 million Australian Powerball jackpot with his first ticket.

He now plans to see a financial advisor so that his winnings will be used wisely. Perhaps  he’ll plan to open an emu race track like a recent Gold Lotto winner.

Before that meeting, he was going to go to the local pub and celebrate his success with a beer or two.

Another win for New South Wales came in the September 29 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw. A male player in Hitchinbrook won a fantastic $100,000 prize.

“I’m shaking”

He had no idea that his ticket was a winner, hence his shock when receiving a phone call telling him the great news.  “Oh my god! I just won $100,000! That can’t be right?!” said the shocked lottery winner. “I’m shaking. I’ve never won anything like this in my entire life.” he added.

The win has come at a great time as he’s about to go to Bali for a holiday. “We won’t have to keep a close eye on the budget anymore,” said the delighted winner.
