A man from Brisbane, Australia endured a sleepless night after discovering he had become a millionaire thanks to a Gold Lotto win.

Last Minute decision to purchase ticket

The fortunate winner doesn’t play regularly and only decided to buy a ticket at the last minute.He purchased his winning ticket online and the winning numbers were: 01-20-21-30-36-41 with the supplementary numbers of 08 and 32.When asked why he made that decision, the thankful player replied: “I don’t know why but I am so glad I did.”

"I’m Blown Away"

The winner has asked to remain anonymous, but we do know he comes from the Norman Park area of Brisbane. He was delighted with his Gold Lotto win and told a Golden Casket official: “it’s not sinking in, I’m blown away.”

Even after checking the results of the draw, he couldn’t believe he was the big winner.He made his discovery just before going to bed and admitted he had “virtually no sleep.” Instead of getting some rest, he spent all night wondering what he could do with his $1 million Gold Lotto win.

“It’s going to relieve so much financial pressure and just make my life so much easier,” said the Gold Lotto winner. That will start with him paying off his mortgage but won’t include quitting his job.In fact, he went back to work right after accepting his winner’s cheque. The Brisbane winner was running a bit late but joked: “...it’s hard to care when I’ve just won $1 million!”
