Premonition Leads to £125,000 Postcode Lottery Win

In August Gemma Marson-May from Kingswood had a premonition that she would get a big lottery win the following month.

That led to her starting to play the Postcode Lottery. The September win didn’t come along but this month has seen her win 125,000.

Gemma and her fiancé Matt Walters got engaged last November. They plan to get married in May 2027 and this win will help make that an even more special day. Also  putting their Postcode Lottery winnings towards their weddings   are several Northampton winners.

They are also wanting to buy a house and this Postcode Lottery win will go towards that. No wonder Gemma said: “I think I'm about to wake up from a dream."

“I’ll have a go at that”

Vanessa works for the Royal Mail. Many times she has had to deliver Postcode Lottery envelopes and now her own big win has arrived. The lucky player has won £125,000.

Delivering those Postcode Lottery envelopes led her to think ‘I’ll have a go at that’ and the rest is history.

Recently, she was thinking of cancelling her ticket but thankfully she eventually decided against doing so.

A big plan for her winnings is taking her partner Jeff to Australia, mainly to watch some cricket. Vanessa isn’t a massive cricket fan but is sure she’ll find plenty of other ways to keep herself entertained.

Their retirement is also being planned. Some of their Postcode Lottery winnings will be used to buy a camper van so they can travel around Cornwall during their retirement. Before that they  will have the double glazing in their house sorted.

Forgetful

James Adams also nearly cancelled his Postcode Lottery ticket. His bride-to-be Rohanna Coulthard didn’t know he played and suggested he stop and instead put the money towards their June 2026 wedding.

However, James forgot to cancel their direct debit and now they’ve won £125,000. “Thank God for just being lazy and really silly. Incompetence pays off,” said the forgetful Postcode Lottery winner.  A recent £250,000 Postcode Lottery winner also nearly stopped playing.
