Purple Paradise for £125,000 Postcode Lottery Winner

Thanks to a £125,000 Postcode Lottery win, a woman is going to turn her house into a purple paradise.

50 shades

Helen Goodman from Woolaston in Northamptonshire, England  absolutely adores the colour purple. Her home already has furniture, carpets, wallpaper and a front door in that colour. Now she plans to finish home renovations and says: “my house will be the house of 50 shades of purple.”

Her first purchase is likely to be a garden chair, it’s purple of course.  “My love of purple is a bit obsessive but it’s just my thing, it’s what I do,” explained Helen. No prizes for guessing what colour her hair is!   It’s the latest Postcode Lottery win in the county after recent success in Northampton.

Other plans for her windfall include going on a Caribbean cruise with her husband Tony.   That’s just what Pat Coglan did after her £58,823 Postcode Lottery win.

A trip to Detroit in the USA is also planned so she can visit her cousins.  Husband Pat will get a new car but it won’t be purple!.

The win comes after a difficult couple of years in which both of her parents sadly passed away. “My mum always did the lottery. So, she'll be looking down on me glad that we've won something.”

Off to Greece

Also celebrating a £125,000 Postcode Lottery win is self-employed tiler Cameron Day. He plans on using some of his winnings to put down a deposit on a house of his own.

He’s never gone on an overseas holiday with his wife Lauren but that will change now. They’ll be going to Zante, Greece in September.

Honeymoon time

Sophie Bishopp also won £125,000 and can finally go on a honeymoon with husband Nathan. They were married two years ago but had to cancel a planned trip to Mexico. That was due to their Jack Russell Terrier Rolo slipping his disc.

Her daughter Grace will also be given a major treat. The five-year-old is “really into her princesses now” so a trip to Disneyland is likely.
