Special Trips to the USA for Postcode Lottery Winners

A £200,000 Postcode Lottery win left Barbara from Bexhill-on-Sea “shaking like a leaf.”  It means the East Sussex resident will soon be making a special trip to Seattle in the USA.

That’s where her son Brian and his family now live. His mother can now afford to go to see him and will fly first class both ways. That’s if there’s “any money left after I treat the family.” That includes four children, seven grandchildren and a one-year-old great-granddaughter.

Excited

The win has come as a big shock for Barbara. “When you get to 80, you think you’ve seen everything and done everything.”  Well, that’s not quite true and the Postcode Lottery winner added: “I didn’t think at my age I could be so excited about anything again.”

Barbara thought her win might be just £1,000. “I’d have been chuffed with that,” she said. When phoning her daughter-in-law, Barbara joked: “You’ll have to pay to speak to me now I’m afraid.” It’s the latest win in the county after  a cancer sufferer  won a £250,000 Postcode Lottery prize.

When going to Seattle, Barbara isn’t just looking forward to seeing her relatives. Her son has six acres of land and Barbara loved driving his mini tractor.  “I’ll be back on that tractor before long. It was so much fun,” said the Postcode Lottery winner.

Good news galore

Also heading for the USA is Mel Woolley who’s won £83,333 playing the Postcode Lottery. The lucky player lives in Thringstone which is in Leicestershire, England.

It’s the latest piece of good news that she’s had recently.  A day before finding out about her win, Mel was told that her sister’s cancer is now in remission.  

Generous Mel is going to take her to New York for a Christmas break, something they’ve long wanted to do.

Her sister, Dee is a big fan of the second ‘Home Alone’’ movie and can’t wait to see the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas Tree.  A £111,111 Postcode Lottery winner discovered their win while watching a movie.
