Triple $768,000 Saturday Lotto Success in New South Wales

There’s been plenty of celebrations after seven tickets shared the Saturday Lotto jackpot on September 16. Three of the $768,013.61 winners come from New South Wales, Australia.

Springwood success

One of the winners was a man from Springwood. He didn’t see the draw live and had no idea he’d won until receiving a call from the lottery company two days later. “What a great call to get Monday morning!” was his immediate response.

He plans to use his Saturday Lotto winnings to pay off some of the mortgage. The lucky player can’t wait to take some time off work. His wife will be delighted too as they can now go to Europe which she’s always wanted to do.

Speechless

Another of the Saturday Lotto winners was a man from Cartwright and it left him nearly speechless. “Are you serious?” he managed to say to the lottery official who broke the great news.

He was at work when receiving the call and joked: “I’m not sure I’ll be able to focus for the rest of the day.” His win came from numbers he’d been using for between five and ten years. Not special ones (well they are now) just “random choices.”

His wife was also going to be happy at the news of their Saturday Lotto win. “She can have whatever car she likes,” he said. A home deposit will also be made “and maybe a few other treats.”

My mind is blank

It was a lucky draw for New South Wales and a woman from Oran Park  also won a share of the Saturday Lotto jackpot.

Worried that a scammer was trying to contact her, she didn’t initially answer the phone. When noticing two missed calls on her phone, she eventually made contact. Then the shocking but delightful news was finally received. “My mind is blank - nothing is there,” said the Saturday Lotto winner.

Her mortgage will be paid off and then an overdue holiday taken. “A cocktail and a holiday somewhere sunny would be nice!” she joked.
