Was £168,000 EuroMillions Win Written in the Stars?

Do you believe in horoscopes?  Best friends Becky Witt and Carly WIggett from Dartford in Kent, England certainly do. They believe it was a horoscope that led to their £168,000 EuroMillions win 12 years ago.

Perhaps they’ll be looking in the stars to see if they can win this Friday’s EuroMillions £145 million jackpot.

It was Carly’s mother, Tracy, who read that a lottery win could be achieved if a Pisces and Taurus both entered together. They took up that advice and the rest is history.

Utter shock

Amazingly, neither of the two winners (both now 36) had previously entered a lottery draw. It’s not surprising that Carly said they were in “utter shock” when discovering their win.

At the time both were working in the police force.  That’s just like £1 million EuroMillions winners Graeme and Katherine White.

Talking recently about their EuroMillions win, Carly said: “We both believe everything happens for a reason, so maybe fate gave us the chance.” If they’d matched one other Lucky Star, they’d have won the £85 million jackpot.

Right after their win, both of the winners went onto the property market to buy their own homes. That was a big step for them as at the time of their EuroMillions win, they were living with their parents.

Amazing

Becoming homeowners at that age was “amazing,” said Carly. The EuroMillions winner added: “It definitely helped to fast-track our life goals.’ A lot has changed for them and both are now mothers.

Their advice to hopeful lottery winners is: “Take your time with the big decisions, but enjoy your win.”

While they did purchase those homes, the two best friends allocated a certain percentage of their winnings to “having fun.”  £1 million scratchcard winner Adam Lopez also made that decision.

The EuroMillions winner added: “This amazing moment might not happen again, so celebrate it.”

One of the best memories of their EuroMillions win was telling others about their success. “To this day we both say we’re so pleased we shared that moment together,” Carly recalled.
