Meanwhile in the UK,  the National Lottery operator Allwyn has launched its six-week long Christmas campaign.   The ‘Add some play to Christmas’ campaign has a theme of Christmas togetherness and playfulness. There are some great scratchcard prizes to be won.

Those include ‘Scratchcard-igans” which are knitted cardigans that resemble scratchcards. They even have a ‘scratchabble’ sequin surface with one in four rewarding its owners with a £500 prize.

You can win them via a competition that is being held on the National Lottery’s Instagram page. Publicising the ‘Scratchcard-igans’ is Olympic diving champion Tom Daley who designs knitwear.

A recent survey by Allwyn revealed that 51% of respondents planned on adding a scratchcard to a Christmas card. An Australian man  was given a Warm Wishes scratchcard at Christmas and it won him $100,000.

El Gordo de Navidad returns

Just three days before Christmas Day, the traditional El Gordo de Navidad draw will take place. This year the Spanish lottery will have a prize fund of €2.772 billion. There’s a top prize of €4 million for the winning series. They are sold in tenths so you could win €400,000 right before Christmas Day.
