LIMERICK FAMILY ARE “DELIGHTED” AFTER €156,000 EUROMILLIONS WIN

A family from Limerick in Ireland have collected a cheque for €156,000 EuroMillions win from Irish Lotto headquarters, revealing they are “delighted” at their good fortune. The family, who didn’t reveal their identities when they claimed their winnings, won the EuroMillions prize in the drawing on Friday, October 5th when their ticket matched five numbers and one lucky star, missing out of the €17 million jackpot by just one number. Another Irish family recently declared themselves “delighted” after winning €1,005,000 thanks to a special EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle which took place earlier this year, while a Powerball lottery winner from Oregon in the USA was also delighted when he found out he’d won $150.4 million while eating a burger for his lunch. However, the family said that they couldn’t be happier with their €156,385 prize fund which will certainly help set them up for life. After winning €250,000 on a National Lottery scratch card, an Irish woman said her life was set to change for certain. “It’s mad!” said the winning mother of the fact that they just missed out on becoming EuroMillions lottery multi-millionaires. “People keep commiserating with us having missed out on the €17 million jackpot but this is the perfect amount to make our family comfortable for the foreseeable future.” For a lottery player from Manchester in England those emotions were very different when he won £2,000 instead of the £92 million EuroMillions jackpot because he was missing just one of the five main numbers but had both of the lucky stars. The winner added that their EuroMillions prize money will enable them to prepare for the upcoming Christmas holiday by paying off all of their bills before the festive season is upon us. “And we’ll book a nice family holiday before Christmas to celebrate properly,” she added. The family bought their winning EuroMillions ticket from a Maxol Mace petrol station in Dooradoyle, and chose Quick Pick numbers for their selection. They collected their cheque from Irish Lotto headquarters in Dublin on Wednesday along with other winners from Kildare, Louth and Waterford. There may still be Irish EuroMillions winners yet to check their tickets, as seven winners of last month’s “Ireland Only Raffle” haven’t claimed their €105,000 prizes. Ten Irish EuroMillions tickets were selected in the special drawing on Friday, October 26th.Play now with Lottery24.com, to give yourself a chance of winning!
