All You Need is a £416,384 EuroMillions Win

A Beatles loving family syndicate from Hull in Yorkshire, England  are celebrating winning a £416,384 EuroMillions prize in the August 15 draw.

The new ‘Fab Four’ comprises Stephen Ullah and his wife Beverley and their children Deon and Stephen Jr who are both in their forties. They’ve been playing lotteries as a syndicate since 2020.

To celebrate their EuroMillions success, they travelled to a Beatles-themed hotel in Liverpool. Then they had a meal at the famous Cavern Club and visited a statue of the Fab Four.

“We’re such big Beatles fans, so to celebrate in Liverpool - a city that we have so many family ties just made sense,” said Liverpool FC supporter Deon.  

It’s not their first special trip to the city. Beverley had her 50th birthday party at The Cavern where The Beatles famously played in the 1960s. Recently  a $1m Lotto Max winner claimed his prize dressed as Elvis.

Close Shave

It was a close shave when it came to buying their winning ticket. Beverley had forgotten to make a purchase and only just got one in time. If she’d missed the deadline, it really would have been a case of “Help!”

The following day she checked their EuroMillions ticket purchased yesterday and realized it was a big winner. Then she started dancing and screaming without the need for a Beatles record to be played. “Stephen thought I had gone crazy,” she joked.

Her son plans on purchasing a new car and paying off his mortgage. Deon has already bought herself a new motorhome. As for Beverley, a new oven is going to be bought and some holidays taken.

One day

Commenting on their EuroMillions win, Stephen Snr said that they “couldn’t believe it when we saw the numbers come up.”  They’d always said that ‘one day it’ll be our turn’ and to finally get the big win “is just incredible.”

Tonight’s draw has a £14 million jackpot after  last Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot win.  As the Beatles didn’t sing: 'All You Need is to match the five main balls and Lucky Star.’
