Amazing Stories From Three $1.3 million Saturday Lotto Winners

Dogs need to be given a good wash but it nearly cost an Australian woman $1.3 million. After getting her dogs cleaned up, she bought her winning Saturday Lotto ticket with just five minutes to spare.

There were five division one winners in the October 18 Saturday Lotto draw. This winner comes from Beenleigh in Queensland. It’s the latest big win in the state  after a $1.5 million scratchcard success.

It didn’t take long for her to discover the win. Her Saturday Lotto ticket was checked soon after the draw had been made. “I couldn’t get to sleep. My heart was racing 200 miles an hour!” said the delighted but tired player.

Plans for her winnings include looking after her children. That will include buying a new home. That’s something which means a lot to her. “I can’t believe it: a home in my name!” the Saturday Lotto winner said.

Funny Feeling

Also winning was a male player from Brunswick in Victoria. His luck was really in because he had 194 other wins in the draw. In total, he’s won $1,328,243.97.

It had been late on Saturday night when he discovered his great fortune. “I just started shaking. I didn’t know what to do!.”  Then he admitted that he’d had a “funny feeling,” a win was on its way.   A $75 million Lotto Max winner said an “inner voice” led to his success.

Initially, he thought only $1,000 had been won. “Then I went, ‘Hang on!’”  He plans on helping his family members with his windfall.

Long wait

Another winner of the jackpot was a father from Forest Hill in New South Wales. In all, he won $1,303,392.97 and he’s a very patient player. His family has been playing lotteries for 50 years but each week he buys one ticket just for himself.

Plans for his winnings include a dryer, washing machine and new air conditioning. His two sons will also be helped and a 2026 family holiday to Italy is on its way.
