Inner Voice Leads to $75 million Lotto Max Jackpot Win

Do you listen to your inner voice? David Hatt from Kingston in Ontario, Canada does and it helped him win a $75 million Lotto Max jackpot.

The day before the August 19 draw he was out doing some grocery shopping. He says that his inner voice then relayed a message to him. “Something told me to buy a ticket,” said the latest Canadian multi-millionaire.

His quick pick ticket won the largest Lotto Max win in Ontario lottery history. It beats the  $65 million Lotto Max win Mohit Sharma had last year.

This is the second largest win  just $5 million short of the record Lotto Max win seen earlier this year.

Coffee time

He didn’t  think about the Lotto Max ticket anymore and it wasn’t until the following morning he found out he’d won. David was in a drive-thru waiting for his morning coffee. He then decided to check his Lotto Ma ticket and initially thought he’d won $75,000.

Then he took a closer look and noticed “there were a lot more zeros.”  He decided to rush home and tell his wife the news in person.

Sit down

Back home he told her: “I need you to sit down.”  Then he showed her the lottery app and she asked “Is that $75 million??”  Her husband shouted “YES!” and  the celebrations began.

Before receiving their winnings, Mr Hatt spent time carrying out research and thinking long and hard about how the $75 million could help people. “We’re going to be pinching ourselves for years to come,” said the Lotto Max winner.

Their spending plans include buying “that special property or that special house.” That’s not been possible to achieve before this $75 million Lotto Max win.

The couple also plan to go travelling around Europe. Not just the top destinations but also small towns, the countryside and rural areas. David loves playing golf so a new set of clubs is going to be purchased.

The Lotto Max winners will also help family members and also “assist the most vulnerable in our area.”
