Beautiful Day for $24.9 million Lucky Lotteries Winner

It was a great weekend for two lottery players in Australia. One female player from Darra in Queensland was in tears after her $24.9 million Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win.

Tears aplenty

There had been a long wait of 183 draws before a Super Jackpot win.  The lucky winner  said that it was a “beautiful day” when discovering her win. “I can’t hold back the tears,” said the shocked player.

“I don’t usually play Lucky Lotteries, but I recently thought I’d try my luck,” added the lottery winner. Plans for her big win include helping her children and some domestic violence and cancer charities.

Despite being a multi-millionaire, the lottery winner will not retire: I love my job, so I’ll continue showing up to work,” said the winner.  A recent £3.6 million Set for Life winner will also carry on working.

Shock and Disbelief

Also celebrating is a male player from McKinnon in Victoria. He was in shock and disbelief when finding out he’d won $919,024.03 in the July 12 TattsLotto draw.

When a text message told him to check his lottery ticket, he thought it was either a scam or just another small win. How wrong he was!

When the results were checked, he was shocked to see that his ticket had matched all six numbers. The lottery winner suddenly had an attack of nerves and just wouldn’t believe he’d won until the win was confirmed.  That’s just how a recent $1.6 million Saturday Lotto winner reacted.

It wasn’t until that had happened that he told his wife their fantastic news. He’s been playing the same numbers for “years and years.” However, he confessed: “I don’t know why I chose them in the first place.”

No wonder he said:  “Lucky I didn’t change those numbers!”  Plans for his winnings include a dream holiday to Europe.

That’s something he thought wasn’t possible until this lottery win. “But now we can definitely go, and maybe even fly business class!” said the delighted winner.
