From $300 to a $5 million Lotto 6/49 Win

When Bridgemohan Neebar arrived in Canada, he only had $300. Now he’s a millionaire after winning $5 million in the August 6 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The lucky player now lives in Brampton, Ontario and has finally claimed his fantastic winnings. He’s been speaking about his Lotto 6/49 win and revealed he’s been playing lottery games for decades.

The automotive industry worker plays the Lotto 6/49 draw every week but isn’t a regular checker of his purchase. It took him several weeks to discover his $5 million win. It’s the latest big win in Ontario after  a recent $75 million Lotto Max success.

Mr Neebar had several tickets just sitting in his car. They had all been there “for a few weeks,” said the Lotto 6/49 winner.

A glitch in the system?

Finally he got around to checking the tickets at a local store. “My eyes went wide,” he recalled. “Then I checked my ticket again to make sure it wasn’t a glitch in the system.”

In shock at his discovery, he put the winning ticket in his pocket and carried on with his shopping. When that had been completed, he checked his $5 million winning Lotto 6/49 ticket again.

The result was the same but he still wasn’t convinced. He even asked a store clerk “Are these machines accurate?”

He rushed home and told his wife that he needed to check something on his phone. Then he scanned his Lotto 6/49 ticket yet again and finally revealed to his wife the news of their fantastic success.

Initially his wife didn’t believe what she was hearing. Eventually she did and the pair stayed calm and happy but he says “shocked at the same time.”

Speaking about his win, the Lotto 6/49 winner said it’s “fantastic” and “even better than I dreamed.”

Unlike  a recent $25 million Australian Powerball winner,  he won’t be retiring. His winnings will enable him to expand his business and create more jobs for people.
