Kitchen Chaos After €164,156 Lottery Win Discovered

Chaos broke out in a kitchen when a €164,156 Irish Lotto win was discovered. That was one of the stories told by several lucky Irish players from Munster who recently claimed their winnings.

The winners of the €164.156 prize are a syndicate from Co Cork. The syndicate leader didn’t find out they had won until the evening after the September 20 draw.

At the time his partner was busy in the kitchen peeling spuds for their dinner. He’d seen that there was a local lottery win and asked her to read out the winning numbers.

Flying

That’s when they discovered the big win and chaos broke out. “The spuds nearly went flying out the window. It was absolutely priceless,” said the lottery syndicate leader. Plans for the winnings include home improvement and going on a cruise.

Recently  a woman from Wicklow in Ireland won a €7.2 million Eurodreams jackpot  all because it was a rainy day.

Also celebrating a win is a man from Kerry who won a €100,000 scratchcard prize. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing when scratching off the card. He then hid the scratchcard in his wardrobe.

Meanwhile in Tipperary, a woman won a €45,000 scratchcard prize. It took her a few days to find out as she’d completely forgotten about her weekend purchase.

Cosy in bed

Her scratchcard was tucked away in a drawer until she finally remembered to check it while “cosy in bed.”  Recalling that amazing moment, the lucky player said “I shot upright in bed, staring at the card, reading and re-reading it in total disbelief.”

Gift

Another delighted player won €30,000 playing a scratchcard that he had received as a gift.  A woman in Canada  found out she’d won a $1 million Lotto Max prize on her birthday.

The man from Kentstown in Co Meath was also in the kitchen when finding out about his big win. A new van is going to be purchased and the rest of his win will be saved for the future.
